Faith West Inc. Faith West Inc. was founded in May, 2002, the US-based subsidiary of Faith, Inc. ? the Japanese company that pioneered the technology behind polyphonic ringtones through its relationships with such wireless carriers as NTT DoCoMo and KDDI. Faith, Inc. established Faith West to deliver mobile content to U.S. consumers, and to support the licensing of Faith Inc.'s software-based sound solutions for mobile phones and other communications and electronic devices globally. The company also provides technology licensees with market support and authoring tools to create mobile content, including the CMX multimedia format developed by QUALCOMM, which uses Faith Inc.'s sound technology. Faith West launched polyphonic ringtones services under the brand Modtones? in June 2002 and quickly became an industry leader in mobile content, cutting deals with all major U.S. carriers and record companies. The company changed its name to Moderati, Inc. in March of 2005, while remaining a subsidiary of Faith, Inc. In February 2007, Moderati?s content business was purchased by BellRock Media.
